"Maybe it's luck, but they have less injuries from key players," said Tuchel
Chelsea manager believes Man City is the benchmark
Before the two clubs meet in the Premier League on Saturday, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel declares Manchester City the “benchmark.”
The difference between the two sides, according to Tuchel, is the manner top-flight leaders City have managed with injuries and Covid-19 this season. Maybe it’s luck, maybe they do it better, but they have less critical player injuries,” Tuchel remarked.
Chelsea trail Manchester City by ten points heading into the clash at Etihad Stadium. Following a Covid-19 outbreak at the club, Chelsea’s plea to postpone a match against Wolves in December was denied, and the game ended goalless.
Since then, draws against Brighton and Liverpool have seen Chelsea lose ground in the Premier League title race to City, who have won 11 straight games.
